Wedding Divas

Loads of people have been asking us about our 'divas' site and when it is being finally launched, well it is still work in progress and we are including 'wedding divas' to run within the 'divas' site, following a fantastic time on a photoshoot recently here we are another step closer to our launch. Sam was in her element lounging in the pool and splashing as hard as she could while in a beautiful wedding dress!!! The dress survived the day and we have some really exciting and original images to share, Sam loved every moment and is looking forward to going to the beach with us for another playtime! This concept is known in the States as 'Trash the Dress' and is growing in popularity here but we really don't like the termanology so for us we are naming it 'wedding divas' hope you all like our twist on the theme!!! Already we have several brides from this year booking with us to enjoy one of these shoots with their husbands joining in or just standing by watching and enjoying the whole occassion. Please feel free to add your feedback, we are really interested to hear your thoughts .

Chantmarle - Eve and Darryl

This afternoon Earle and I travelled over to Chantmarle, a deeply historic and beautiful ex monastary now renovated to exemplary standards and presently being offered as a wedding venue alongside the opportunity for other special celebrations. Eve and Darryl are marrying there in early September and it is going to be one magnificent bash of a celebration. We all had a lovely time exploring the venue and taking some beautiful shots of Eve and Darryl relaxing in the gardens and woods before they met again with their wedding co-ordinator for more planning. Earle and I are looking forward to meeting with Eve and Darryl again very soon to discuss their wedding day and photography in greater depth over a good cool drink, in the meantime we are posting some of the images we captured today here......

Leanne and Kierone Wedding

Oh my word, what a wonderful day this was for Leanne and Kierone, Leanne looked ravishing and Kierone was one happy man chuffed to bits to be marrying his bride! Leanne is the much treasured daughter of Mike and Angela who were jointly instrumental in the success of the day. Kierone's wonderful family all travelled down from the Lancaster areas to enjoy this special occassion. The ceremony took place in Moordown at the church affiliated to Leanne's old school before departing to the Chine Hotel, Bournemouth for the wedding reception and evening party where everyone was looked after in style. Thankfully the weather allowed us all to enjoy the beautiful grounds of this lovely hotel for the full reception time and we were able to capture all the 'formal' photographs in the Brides favoured spot. Having mentioned in a previous blog a reluctant groom (as far a pictures are concerned) the top spot has only been briefly held by David, the farmer in Wiltshire, I am afraid David you have very quickly been superseeded by Kierone...... he has brought the 'I hate having my photograph taken' stakes to a whole new level!!!!! Even so for the sake of his bride he was able and almost willling to stand around for a few creative shots at Sandbanks under shelter from the then incoming rain. He was jokingly insistant in his view that we put him through hell but this needs to be balanced with the fact we asked him to be present and stand with his arms folded within the parameters of our focal distances!!!!! Kierone you were a total hero, we know you were troubled by the whole scenario but for the love of your lovely wife you were willing to deal with it - all credit to you - we captured some stunning images of your Leanne with you but also some beauties of her once you were very gratefully retired from your photographic duties. Your humour and adoration of your lovely bride is totally wonderful and heartwarming, we would like to congratulate you both on your wedding day and all our heartfelt good wishes for your marriage. Kierone thank you for your comment at the end of the day..... you felt we connected! That was a real compliment and we will take it with us .... you were a tough nut to crack - our new friend!

Sarah and Richard Wedding

We photographed Sarah and Richard a few weeks ago for their pre-wedding portraits and reported it here on our blog as a 'fun evening' and yesterday was their actual wedding and sure enough another fun and brilliant time which was shared with heaps more people all of whom were having the time of their lives, high emotion, loads of laughs with a bride and groom who have got it so completely right on every level. We were totally spoilt as photographers yet again with the amount of time afforded to us by Sarah and Richard for their photography. They decided very early on in their planning that the photography was to be an important part of their day and they placed their complete trust in Earle and me to deliver some original and cutting edge images of them both on their special day. We had a major chunk of the afternoon alone with Sarah and Richard then another chunk of time down on the beach as the sun went down later in the evening. Naturally all the guests were very well looked after and we have loads of fantastic images of everyone enjoying the important events as they unfolded. Sarah and Richard are total stars, Sarah looked amazing and Richard could have burst with pride at being the man she had married!!! All your hard work and planning came together and between you it was a wonderful event, it was a day to remember... congratulations to you both and we look forwad to seeing you again soon.

Emily and David Wedding

Last Saturday, 07/07/07 took Earle and me over to Wiltshire again - I love Wiltshire! The wedding was held in a beautiful tiny village not far from the family farm in Chapmanslade opposite Longleat Safari Park - I was keeping a keen eye open for any larger than natural cats - although Roxi, Dave's devoted fox terrrier would give any interloper a run for its money! We often are asked if we get get bored of doing weddings? 'Absoloutly not!' is always our emphatic answer, every single wedding is different and they are always, always fun. Emily and Dave's wedding is a very good case in point - alongside all the close family, friends and Roxi were the cows, straw bales, gleaming tractors, helicopters and yet more lush green rolling hills all around us. How could anyone get bored of wedding photography - it is a mine of inspiration! Tania and Tim worked really hard helping Emily and Dave organise their wedding day, the flower designs which Tania created for the bouquets and tables in the marquee were exquisite. Tim drove Dave and Roxi to the church in Dave's tractor bedecked with ribbons and wedding parafanalia while Emily arrived in a little more traditonal fashion, by car! The big surprise for all the guests was after the ceremony when they waved Dave and Emily off from the church in the wedding car only to see them arrive some time later at the farm between

the hillsides by helicopter! What an entrance - everyone was thrilled! Dave was a real hero, a man less keen on being a main attraction and having his photograph taken we have probably not met - but Dave gave his all while we took him and Emily off around the farm to capture some exciting and vibrant images. Emily was fantastic, her smile wraps from ear to ear and her happiness shone through all day long even when we asked her to sit inside the big red wheel of the tractor! Wow, are we pleased with those pictures!!!! It must be said though the beautiful Emily made our job as easy as it is possible to make it. We hope you both love your images as much as we loved capturing them. Emily you are truly lovely and you clearly have made Dave a very happy man - he now has Roxi, a big red wheeled tractor AND you!!! Congratulations to you both - a wonderful couple.

Becky and Dean Wedding

Having had a couple of hours or so with Becky and Dean last month running through the details of their wedding day plans at the Harbour Heights hotel and photographing their pre wedding portraits on location Earle and I knew this was going to be a brilliant party. Friday 6th July was the big day and Dean drove to the Harbour Heights in his beloved 'Floyd' the blue Lotus he keeps in pristine condition and appears to run a very close second to Becky! While he and the boys were busy doing their thing at the hotel, Becky her family and the bridesmaids were all busy preparing at her parents home before leaving for the ceremony in the Rolls Royce which Becky's parents had organised as a surprise for her. The sun shone for the first time in days making the most of the stunning location and Becky arrived beaming with excitement. Following a very emotional and happy ceremony we followed the newly married couple down to Sandbanks for some relaxing, fun photography by the shoreline. The two of them were stars and loved every moment messing around on the beach giving Earle and me ample opportunity to take loads of candid fun images mixed in with some more tender moments between them. In the end Earle and I had to drag them back to the car and driver reminding them they had a feast and party to attend!!! Following the wedding breakfast the speeches took place and this deserves a mention here because of Jade, who as a surprise to Becky and Dean (Jade's Father) delivered the most amazing, touching and generous speech dedicated to both Becky and Dean. The speech was a huge credit to Jade, her brother Taylor and to the bride and groom. A perfect day for Becky and Dean was rounded off with a lively party having watched the sun set over Poole Harbour, probably the most beautiful view on the south coast. Becky you looked spectacular, sophisticated and stunning, you and Dean are a wonderful team. Earle and I wish you both every happiness and send you our warmest congratulations on your marriage.
