Julian - Moulin Rouge Party

Julian approached us some time ago following a successful portrait shoot with him, he was asking us to photograph his brilliantly decadent burlesque party in the theme of Moulin Rouge at the Chine Hotel in Bournemouth. What an evening, so much of everything good fun and mildly naughty!!!! Maybe 'riskey' would be a better phrase but my sheltered life makes me think it may have been the former...... whatever.... it was a total success Earle and I loved it and quite clearly everyone there was loving it too. Julian you have sooooo got to do it again. We are adding some of the images taken to this text.... enjoy!

Tracey and Andrew wedding

The weather has certainly been a talking point of recent weeks, particularly amongst those of us involved with weddings! Tracey and Andrew married at Parley Manor, we all really needed the good weather fairy to wave her wand... she did us proud! The day was beautiful from every perspective. Tracey and Andrew had worked incredibly hard towards their wedding day and all their effort paid of in spades! Following a lovely morning for me with Tracey and her family and Earle having important time with Andrew and his preparations we joined forces at Parley Manor for a very personal and intimate wedding ceremony followed by a drinks reception in the sun shine and the opportunity for the 'formal' photographs to be taken amongst loads of fun and laughter, documentary images of the guests and bride and groom were also an important aspect to this very special wedding. At different times of the day we had Tracey and Andrew all to ourselves for some time enabling us to create beautiful images of them together around the gounds of Parley Manor not least using the occassion of an amazing firework display to capture fantastic images of the bride and groom, guests and display! Much later on in the evening after a fantastic party we were there to photograph the departure of Tracey and Andrew for their wedding night at The Royal Bath Hotel in Bournemouth. We had arranged with them to follow the car to the hotel then take them on to the beach area for further photography. This was one very late night for us all, but it really was very well worth it... we have some brilliant images to give Tracey and Andrew over the whole day but also from that very personal wind down time after the party. Thank you both for a wonderful day and making it possible for Earle and I to spread our wings with our cameras and imagination. You are a magic couple and we wish you both many, many happy years together.

Catch up time

Where are the days going? I can't believe so much time has passed since the last entry! Earle and I have been taking heaps of photographs for all sorts of occassions, portraits, parties and weddings of course. I will select a few from the recent shoots to share with you.

Sarah and Mark Wedding

OK so how do you all do it? Saturday yet another incredible wedding day. We have a fantastic wedding ceremony at the Priory in Christchurch, Dorset, a first dance in the Bandstand on the riverside and a visit from 'Elvis' in the evening!!!! Sarah and I met up early in the day at her parents home in Highcliffe and I followed her preparations through to her arrival at the Priory for the wedding ceremony while Earle was with Mark at home and the bar 'Soho' before wandering along to the church in plenty of time to greet the arriving guests. Once Sarah and Mark meet at the wedding, both Earle and I work together from seperate aspects giving a full and emotional picture of their day unfolding. The ceremony was beautiful, Sarah looked amazing and Mark was bursting with anticipation as she walked up the long aisle towards him for their ceremony. Following the formal and crucial aspect of the entire day we had fun covering the formal photographs before the guests departed for the reception venue and Sarah and Mark were driven to the Bandstand at the riverside in Christchurch for our anticipated photoshoot. As we already knew there was a band playing but unkown to us was the welcome which would be extended to us all. This was truly fantastic, the crowd which was huge applauded and cheered the bride and groom as they wandered onto the grass surrounding the Bandstand and they were then introduced as newly weds by the band leader and invited to perform their first dance there and then! We suggested they were allowed to dance in the Bandstand amongst the band rather than the grass below and this was agreed to without hesitation. Wow!!!! what a blast this proved to be..... Sarah and Mark were sooooooo thrilled and their audience of literally thousands were entransed, cameras and applause were everywhere. We managed a few more creative shots on the Quayside following the first dance before departing to join the guests in Bournemouth. Once the wedding reception and breakfast was completed and the highly entertaining speeches were over we had the fun of 'Elvis' arriving for his performance which got everyone up dancing through the duration. Now, these wedding guests know how to party, some serious dancing was happening here and it did not stop after 'Elvis' the DJ had it wrapped with some major dance numbers. While this DJ thing was happening we borrowed Sarah and Mark again for a few more shots, this time a trip to the beach as the light was dropping. They were so great together they made our work easy and nothing phased them at all - Sarah and Mark we hope you are thrilled with your pictures, you are both very special together with Zoe and Dean the team is remarkable, congratulations on your marriage. Not only this but more.... you now have fame and fortune in New Milton - an article all about your bandstand stardom in this weeks newspaper!
