Clare and Jamie wedding

We met Clare and Jamie at the Haven Hotel at Sandbanks in Poole for their wedding day. Clare was busy with her bridesmaids preparing for the day ahead when I met with them up in one of the rooms at the hotel. Earle spent time down in the bar with Jamie and the guests until it was time for Clare to make her way to the ceremony room where everyone had assembled to welcome the bride and witness the marriage of Clare to Jamie.

Following the ceremony and everyones congratulations to the bride and groom we were able to have all the 'formal' photographs taken with the minimum of interruption of the celebrations which always has to be good news! While everyone was enjoying their reception drinks and nibbles Earle and I popped over to the beach with Clare and Jamie to capture those all important pictures of just the bride and groom together doing what they do best..... being themselves!!
Like all wedding days the time was racing on by and the party soon were sitting down for their delicious wedding breakfast and then the speeches and cutting of their lovely cake which we were on hand for to photograph of course just as it all happens.

There was a fantastic disco later in the evening with Jamie and Clare doing a stirling job with their first dance and their friends and family joining in at just the right moment! The party was then officially underway.
Earle and I send our congratulations to Clare and Jamie on their lovely wedding day and best wishes for their life together which already holds some extremely exciting adventures for them to enjoy together in the very near future.

Claire and Ian Wedding

We first met Claire 3 years ago when she was a bridesmaid at the wedding of her close friend Karen which Earle and I were photographing, well this time was Claire's turn to be the bride and Karen travelled all the way back home from the sunshine in Australia especially to be a bridesmaid for Claire and Ian.

I met Claire and her bridesmaids at the home of Claire's parents where they were all busy with their preparations along with other close friends. It was very busy with loads of excitement and giggles from us all however everyone managed to be ready on time and we all made our way to the church. Earle was already there of course with Ian and his bestman greeting all their guests.

Claire and Ian love everything about the countryside and really wanted this to be reflected in their wedding day and it certainly was. The beautiful, intimate ceremony was held in the ancient church of St Peter's in Church Knowle near Corfe Castle in the Purbecks, the reception was held at The Old Barn at Tincleton. We had planned with Claire and Ian to stop off at Kimmeridge with their wedding car en route to Tincleton for some wonderful beach cove photography, it worked fantastically well mostly thanks to their brilliant attitude towards whatever we suggested doing. I think they got the drift that they would not be just standing by their car near the slipway when we advised some extra footwear came along for Claire to use, her wedding shoes were just not going to be suitable! There was a degree of concern over the likelihood of the Kimmeridge moment happening owing to poor weather earlier in the day but we were fortunate again with a lovely dry spell just at the right time. We do have an inckling though that Claire and Ian would have been game for the Kimmeridge stop even in the pouring rain!!!
Finally we all caught up with the guests at The Old Barn who were enjoying drinks, canapes and a good chat before the receiving line and wedding breakfast which was followed by the evening party and live band providing the music.
The whole day was a fantastic success for Claire and Ian, everyone had a wonderful time and partied well! Thank you both for making Earle and I so completely welcome and for your kind hospitality. Congratulations to you both on your marriage and a super day.
